New node up and operating!

Not way back I posted on right here that I lastly run my very own node on Home windows 10. There was a variety of feedback suggesting Linux and umbrel.

1. Obtained a used mini PC from eBay for £70

2. Flashed ubuntu server 22.04.2 LTD onto us stick to Belena Etcher

3. Put in ubuntu os on my new used mini computer (couldn't be less complicated and I by no means touched Linux earlier than)

4. Downloaded and put in umbrel from terminal (command to this on umbrel's web site)

5. Synchronised blockchain inside 24 hours (it was a lot faster than synching on home windows)

6. Opened 8333 port on my router to just accept incoming connections to my node

7. Edited bitcoin config file to just accept max 30 connections at a time and add 5gb a day

8. Restarted the node and it's now been up for two hours!

The entire time spent on making this occur is roughly 3 hours with no prior Linux information (minus the chain obtain).

I'm loving the actual fact I can troubleshoot my bone server by way of ssh from the laptop computer and see what's up with the node both from there or umbrel.native even on my telephone.

Subsequent mission: simply purchased Antminer S9 from eBay. So blissful! :).
